Angela Evelyn Bassett is an American actress. Her work has been recognized for TV and film since the late 1980s she's been awarded numerous awards such as two Golden Globe Awards and sixteen NAACP Image Awards in addition to nominations for two Academy Awards and seven Primetime Emmy Awards. Bassett is a native of New York New York and raised by an aunt living in Winston-Salem North Carolina. As Bassett was five years old the family relocated from the city of St. Petersburg, Florida to stay with their mother who was been divorced from her father. Bassett watched the James Earl Jones in John Steinbeck's Of Mice and Men play when she was in high school, and realised that acting is what she wanted to do. In the year 1980, Bassett was graduated from Yale University New Haven Connecticut with an undergraduate degree in African American studies. She was also awarded a degree by the Yale School of Drama. Courtney B. Vance met her at Yale and, in 1997 they tied the knot. Qualification: B.A. at Yale's School of Drama. conferred the degree of Master of Fine Arts in African American Studies to Angela Bassett back in the year. The school she attended was the institutions that she attended: Jordan Park elementary school, Disston Middle School for students in 7th grade, Azalea Middle School for 8th & 9th grades and Boca Ciega High School. Angela Bassett is currently working as one of the main roles as Ramonda in the action-adventure film i.e. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (2022).
